Pubs

There are fantastic pubs close by. Whether it's gastro food or beer; atmosphere or stunning buildings, there’s plenty of choice. If eating, then it is advisable to reserve a table.

The Victoria Inn

Eastleach - 3 mile drive – 1 ¼ hour walk

"The Vic" is a lovely traditional pub, in beautiful Eastleach. Recently refurbished, it's popular with locals and their dogs. The beer is pretty good too. With great outside seating, the pub is perfect if you have walked cross country from Tom Jollys.

The Five Alls

Filkins - 4 mile drive

"This rustic-chic inn has a gently buzzing local vibe — with a glamorous twist in that regulars include Kate Moss and a slew of other Cotswolds-dwelling celebrities. The Five Alls is both an acclaimed restaurant and a proper pub with a wide range of carefully chosen ales."

The New Inn

Coln St Aldwyn - 5 mile drive

Located in this lovely village, the pub is stylish, and serves great wine, beer and burgers. It has good outside seating, whilst inside are open fires; lots of settles and retro church chairs; with wood, flagstone and tiled floors (muddy boots are welcome).

The Bell

Langford - 5 mile drive

Tom Noest, the pub’s chef, is one of our youngest son’s best friends, so we are biased towards “The Bell”, and we love the place for the pub and restaurant. It’s full of local people for a reason. So as to give an independent view - The Times's Giles Coren said "On the final day of 2017, I had not just the best mouthful of the year, but the best mouthful of my life’"!

The Village Pub

Barnsley - 10 mile drive

"The Village Pub certainly does what it says on the tin ‒ it’s an inn and local hub, set in one of the prettiest Cotswold villages. Yet it’s also a handsome place of much mellow charm and wide appeal".

The Stump

Foss Cross - 13 mile drive

Another pub run by friends! "The 17th-century coaching inn has been reconfigured as a stylish venue serving pizza and pasta, and judging by the crowds here, it’s a winning combination."

The Wheatsheaf

Northleach - 10 mile drive

“The Wheatsheaf is the kind of place that gives me reason to believe there is genuine substance to this country's restaurant sector. It's the sort of restaurant that feeds you well and doesn't make a fuss about it.”
